Firstly, great plugin! My users just love it.

Question: How is the member count calculated? In the “Members” column in the footer of the generated forum pages, it displays the member count, in my case, as 43 but my actual WordPress user count is 59. I have 1 admin user and 1 moderator user and the rest are subscribers, so that should be 57 total subscribers.

Here is a link to the forum so you can see what I'm saying. Look at the bottom right side of the site to see the site vitals, which contains the WordPress user count and compare it to the forum member count. I am certain of the WordPress user count being calculated correctly in the site vitals as they are all users who have registered using the forum.

Thanks for your assistance.

This is dependent upon which version you intially installed. Prior to the current version, a user became a member of the actual forum when they first posted. The current version should have swept up all current users. So there are two possibilities: Either it failed and missed some (and that can happen if certain bits of data on a user are missing) - or the count itself is incorrect.

The best way to ascertain the situation is to visit the admin User Group page and see of there are any users listed in the 'Add Members' form. You can then add them manually (you can multi-select to do them all at once).

if none are shown then it coul;d be the membership count was incorrectly saved away. if this is the case I would ask you to hold on for a few more days as the forthcoming update (3.1.3) will be totalling them differently with less chance of error.

Thanks for the reply. I'm on version 3.0.3 build 320.

I did as you suggested and found no users in the “Add Members” form. All users were listed under “Show Members”. What would be the behavior if I were to select all members from the “Move/Delete” form list and move them to the “Members” user group? Would that update the count correctly? If not, I can wait for the next release. THanks.

What user group are they in now then?

And it is version 3.1 that builds the new members table. You may as well wait for 3.1.3 though in a few days.

They are all in the “Members” group. My thinking was that if I moved them to the same group via the admin panel, it might correct the count.

I doubt it. I plan to look at this this morning.

Just wanted to update you on this issue. I just upgraded to 3.1.3 and the member count issue has been resolved. Thank you again for all your hard work on the fantastic plugin.
