One quick question –


What pages should I edit if I want to alter the forum's layout or text? I'm looking at things like re-arranging the login strip and eliminating the stats at the bottom.


I'm fluent in HTML and CSS and understand that if I break it, you won't fix it, but I'll make backups and am happy to reinstall the pages if it all goes horribly wrong :)

start with file sf-page.php


depending on the page to be viewed you can follow the trail to the other pages… keep in mind, a lot of them are pluggable… that is, you can just provide your own version and SPF will call it instead of its own internal routine… as you troll through the code, the pluggable ones will check to see if the routine exists before declaring the routine….

also, check the admin options panel before going to far… lots there… you can turn off the stats stuff, for example… that one is on the global tab…


and I suggest you wait until the planned release of 3.1 tomorrow… more options are available and will be a better starting base for you…
