Permission problems with image uploads

Just wondering if image uploads are working for other people?

I've set up the upload folder under “Manage Options>Add Ons” and I added a “global permission set” that associates the Members user group with the Full Access permission set. Everything looks good and I can upload images with the Forum Administrator. But whenever I try to do it with a member account, the upload dialog is missing the browser button next to the URL. Looks like the member account doesn't have permission to upload, but everything else is telling me that they do.

I suppose it could be some kind of plugin interaction, but the thing that makes me doubt it is that image upload works for the Forum Administrator. Anyway, I'm out of ideas. Hopefully, someone else can shed some light.

I have this problem as well..I upgraded to 3.0.3 build 320 and still have the problem in fact just in case you are allowing me to upload images here on this support site…(not sure of my permissions), but the dialog pops here as well but no icom button to browse for files…just like my users get.

No - I don't allow people to upload to my site. My views on letting people upload files to your server are well known. However, the permission problem is fixed and I proved that just before 3.0.3 ent out the door. So…

In Forum > Options > Add-Ons tab > Image Uploads - have you defined the folder?

And in the permission set for the people you wish to use this facility, have you set the option 'can upload images' to on?

And be warned, there appears to be a problem with the dialog box using IE7 but I don't have a clue what the cause is yet.

Yes, I have defined the folder and as ADMIN I can upload files fine but when I log in as a full user (which does have the option to upload images checked as YES) you can click on INSERT images in the toolbar fine and the dialog pops up but there isn't an icon to the right of the URL to allow them to browse files and upload them. Thanks…

I don't really know what to say here. I have just spent the last 30 minutes running several tests here on different user groups, members, moderators etc., and without fail have been offered the browse button.

Can anyone else confirm what they are seeing either way?

I think 3.0.3 fixed the permission problems that I was having with image upload. I need to do some more testing, but so far it is working for me.

I can confirm image upload works in 3.0.3 for both FF3 and IE7.
