since we see the site as a guest, we wont seem them… the profile icon only shows for members and the profile only shows to members who have the permission to use PM…
have you tried looking as a member or as admin? if so, might want to capture an image or pm us an account to check…
also, a recommendation… you are using three-en icon set, showing the text labels in addition is redundant… suggest going to the spf manage options admin panel, style tab and unchecking all the boxes in the Display Icon Text section…

could you please try deactivating your plugins temporarily and seeing if things begin functioning? If so, start reactivating one at a time until they stop working…

None of the plugins seem to be the culprit.

its a definite javascript issue… none of the javascript buttons are working… and from your last post, nothing worked after disabling the plugins? you did clear your browser cache to remove the js after disabling, correct?
edit: actually some of them are working… just geting more confused here…

Sorry, I got locked out of here and had to retrieve my password cause I never reset it. I hate it when that happens.
Anyway, still haven't figured it out…

Hi yall,
Ok finally recovered from last night…I was really tired and trying to do technical stuff. Bad combo.
Anyway, I they will install php 5 today. I also the tech told me I have Apache 1.3 which he shows released of Jan of this year, so how could that be old?
I want to thank you guys for trying to get me through this install. I like the forum and it would be great if i can get it up to speed.
Pam

I believe Apache is up to around 2.3 or somewhere at the moment (no doubt somene will correct me!)
The 1.3 family is a mucgh older legacy system that they patch regularly with security fixes. That's what happened earlier this year.

Ok, I decided to try this again.
I PHP to 5 and I upgraded the smf — and the profile, inbox and pms buttons still don't work. Do you have any other thoughts about this? doesn't seem like the links are picking up anything after the ? in the path….

you can send me another copy of the phpinfo results? and are you doing any non-standard redirects in your .htaccess file?

I agree. Some sort of re-direct going on under the hood. But I just took a visit and see no forum anyway
