Hi,
How do the plugin handle the registration notification mail?, do you send the mail within the plugin code or it is done through WP code?
Thanks in advance

I installed the wp-pwd-register plugin to allow the users to enter their password at registration time, but users are now receiving two registration notification mails.

to respond to your first question, SPF uses the WP functions in sending e-mails, it also patches those functions to gain a bit of admin control over the content of the initial e-mails (which are a bit bland)
As to the second post, there is a Password Register plugin that has been tested as working with SPF. It does not sound like you are running the same plugin we tested… If you could post a link to the plugin you are using, I will go back and find the plugin we have already tested and we can solve your problem quickly.

The plugin that we tested a while back was:-
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-password-register/
It has gone through a few updates since it was last tested (as have we) so I would be interested in it's compatability (will NOT work with WPMU)
One of the added features is a verification code which can be selected to avoid malicious registrations.
Let us know if this helps.

Hi Radio,
I am using the same plugin version, but I am still getting two messages, one with the password entered by users when registering and a second mail with a randomly generated password with the text found in the simple press plugin text message box.

I am going to have to pass this information to Andy when he gets back from vacation. Unfortunately I can not put the password plugin on any of my WPMU sites
