Well… I need help! Login (logout) and register buttons are not showing on my forum.. Why is that?!
Also.. I would like forum page to show without the default right column that my wp skin has.. (like here). How can I do that?
Thanks a lot in advance!

PS
Show Login/Logout/Register if allowed: box can not be ticked

Login/Registration: Go to your admin Options > general page. Have you turned on wordpress registrations? if they are not turned on then the forum will not allow registrations…
Page template. Go to my home page (menu above) and then look for 'Articles on my sidebar. There is a tutorial there.

Thank you!
but…
can I set the registration for the forum only? I am totally new to this so please bear with me ..
I set WP Membership:
Anyone can register
and New User Default Role Subscriber
However, the users then can see my WP dashboard. Can I set the registration thing for forum only? or should I change every new user's role to - No Role For This Blog - ?

With membership turned on a user will be able to see what you allow them to see.
The 'registration' through the forum will not visit the back-end.
If, however, you have an alternate method of registration (like some themes place on the sidebar), then that will visit the back-end. if you don't want that then remove it.
I can be no help with roles I am afraid. I don't use them.

I have another probably totally ridiculous question (again)…
I've changed User Rankings by adding another rank after Member and it doesn't seem to work! I have a member who should've switched to the next rank but he is still just a member

really. I'll give it a try and come back. if it's a bug I'll log it for fixing.

This is working for me OK so I am unable to replicate your problem I am afraid.

It worked for me too on my testbed… perhaps you could show us an image of your ranks setup?

Put a number against the 'fan' entry (make it big like 20000) to see what happens

Well you probably won't be glad to hear that I have another question but I really tried to figure out this one and nope…
Moderator on my forum has no edit options

And yes, all permissions for mods are set, and added to forums but…
|
|
|
|
|
Sorry I have been slow here but I have been testing this. I am unable to replicate your problem and can grant moderators edit rights sucessfully. So we need to check your settings…

I have only ever seen this role setting - No Role For This Blog - on a WPMU instalation, never on any WordPress Install.
I have also only seen the inability to assign users to an SPF group if they are users of another blog, but not your own.
What is your setup?

@ -Radio-
well.. I am not sure what you mean.
You can set “No role for this blog” only after each of them registers, by changing their defaul role (set within General Options) but I “solved” my problem by removing “register” and “login” from the blog pages and now they have to register through the forum
@ YS
yep, I do

Is this a WP install or a WPMU install? (I think was Radio's question)

It's WP
I said I solved something with removing Meta but.. well.. when they register they get confirmation e-mail with new pass and a link that takes them to my dashboard and I definitelly don't like it although it's just the first page with no further permissions
Any ideas about my Moderator problem?

No. But I'm still waiting for an answer to my question above (Post 21)…
