I am out of ideas on this one… its the only such report of this issue… with 3.1 coming out tomorrow, I agree with Andy, lets see if that helps… we did make a path change on how its loaded to fix an issue with IE7… if not, then the next step would be to see if we could get a temp account with hpiwan with wp admin rights to see if anything odd can be found… and I definitely would understand if thats not acceptable…

Sure…. be my guest, I could give you temp account… but I think by pm or direct email is better.. But of course after I try 3.1.. hope 3.1 could solve this problem.Smile

Firstly… I very impressed of 3.1 …

Secondly, I've solved the problem… but not because of the upgrade.

After I've upgraded to 3.1 the problem still occur… and I am very frustrated about this… since our new forum already has some member and need to upload images. Then I changed the setting Permalink Structure in WP2.51 from defaust to customized (postname)… then the upload image button appear….. How come!.. However I don't care about how come… I am very glad that it appears already.

Thank you… and sorry to disturb you in these days…

Cheers :)

Hello,
I'm having the same problem. The browse icon only apears when I'm logged in as Admin. When a normal member tries to upload a image, there is no browse box, even when the permissions for the Standard group is set to allow uploading of images.

Uploading works fine for admin, but no one else. Why?

Best Regards

Kristine

you are running 3.1.2?  and made sure you have set up the uploads directory and the permissions?

Are you using permalinks or do you have your blog set to the default?

As Hpiwan said above (post 29) there does appear to be a problem with the browse button when no permalinks are used and I have not yet been able to discover why.

So… could that be the problem?
