Defaults avatars are not showing…

the src for these show on my forum as http://mysite.com/wp-content/forum-avatars/userdefault.png

I can see that on my install, the userdefault.png is located in /wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/styles/avatars/userdefault.png

Same happens with admindefault.png

My .htaccess files has this:

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress

Help?

Note that I have Gravatars enabled, and users that have Gravatars display OK. The problem only occurs  when the user does not have a Gravatar.

During the install the routines tried to create the folder above under your wp-contents folder and of successful would then try and ove the defaults from ths suplied folder to the new one. They are placed under wp-content so that future upgrades do not do any damage to user uploaded avatars.

If the above process failed - usually due to permissions - then yoiu would have received a message at the end of the instal informing you that you had to perform this manually. This would have happened.

There is more inforation in the online help - installation troubleshooting, topic - uploading avatars.

Thanks. Creating  the /wp-content/forum-avatars folder and copying the defaukt avatars there, did the trick.
